Skylar's Birthday Party

These pictures were taken on Saturday, February 19th 2000 at the Cherry Creek Reservoir.  Skylar was celebrating her 1 year birthday and decided to invite a few friends over for some fun and birthday cake.  (Yes, she had a dog-friendly birthday cake and even delicious party favors for her guests).  There were at least 8 vizsla in attendance (there may have been 9, but it's tough to count dogs that don't stay in one spot for more than a nanosecond) and a random assortment of curious visitors representing a variety of other breeds (labs, Weimies, a Ridgeback, a few boxers, an Italian Greyhound decked out in pajamas....).  Skylar appeared to be a bit overwhelmed at times, but it looked like everyone had a good (and exhausting) time.  Our Vizsla (Calvin) certainly did.

Great pics! These dogs just have a way of putting a smile on one's face, don't they. We had a great time at the party and sure enjoyed seeing you, Karen and Calvin again. Miss Skylar loves her colorful jack. It's her new favorite toy.

We really enjoyed meeting with everybody (and their red-headed children). Calvin defnitely had a good time.

Thanks to Nikki and Mitzi for hosting the fun day! Now we'll definitely have to schedule a summer time get together for the pooches.

Thanks to Nikki, Mitzi, and Skylar for a great time (and the bagels)! It was great seeing all of the red dogs romping around. Athough after running through the creek on a 35 degree morning, Calvin wanted to steal the Italian Greyhound's pajamas! Actually, I think the intense three way tug-of-war warmed him up. Hope to see you all again for another party in June! (Hey - wasn't Ginger supposed to come home with Calvin?)

I have a dog that I think is a Vizsla. This was a dog given to us by some people who were moving to New York and couldn't keep a large dog. They THOUGHT that the dog was a Choc.Lab / Weimarnier mix. But were unsure. We live in rural S.W. Missouri and we named our dog "Jackson". He is, by far, the best, friendliest, smartest, dog I have ever had. He looks JUST LIKE a vizsla! How can I find out for sure? Thank you, Martin Ford
